Stephanie Cummings, M.D.

Many healthcare professionals have difficulty identifying when a woman has premenstrual syndrome or when she meets criteria for the more severe disorder, premenstrual dysphoric disorder. My talk aims to convey the difference between the two syndromes, with emphasis on the impact to daily life for these women. We will also discuss the role of oral contraceptives and antidepressants in achieving remission for these patients and improving their quality of life
